This two-part film shot by Arturo Simondetti chronicles a 2024 expedition from Yellowknife to Kugluktuk.
Arturo Simondetti and Frank set off from Yellowknife, heading upstream on a remote 1,350 km route. Wolves, grizzly, musk ox, moose, caribou, black flies and mosquitoes are our only companions as we grind our way upstream and portage through burns.
The final installment of the 36-day journey. From the headwaters of the Hood River, the team runs thrilling whitewater down to the Arctic Ocean, carrying on along the Northwest Passage to the finish at Kugluktuk.
