Frank Wolf and Taku Hokoyama canoed 2,004 km in 46 days from Yellowknife to Rankin Inlet. The route crossed the largest wilderness area in North America and the resulting film and articles will share the adventure and look into the issues facing the region from the perspective of the Inuit, Dene, and other stakeholders in this vast region.

The main water links in the route are: Great Slave Lake, Stark Lake, Meridien Lake, Daisy Lake, Snowdrift River, Eileen River System, Sled Creek System, Timberhill Lake, Lynx Lake, Thelon River System, Baker Lake, Chesterfield Inlet, Barbour Bay, Machum Lake, Meliadine River System, Rankin Inlet.
